Congress to vote on oil

The House is set to vote Oct. 8 or Oct. 9 on Texas Republican Joe Barton’s bill, H.R. 702, which would lift the U.S. ban on crude oil exports. After the shale boom unlocked oil deposits from North Dakota to Texas, curbing that trade no longer makes sense, say supporters and many economists.

Obama seems to be against it, without some provisions. US oil investors are keeping a close eye on this one, for sure. Although, it’s not looking like it’s going to happen, according to analysts.
